Most people I know are more than one thing in life: wife AND mother, doctor AND patient. Rodeo clown AND wall street financier.
Okay, maybe not that last one. (but who knows!)
Then there’s me. I’m equal parts Master Marketer and Certified Life Coach.
And I believe there isn’t one way to market a company, and when you do, it sure as shit doesn’t have to be sleazy.
And you’ll see on some of the pages of my site, my pet project (literally). As a sidecar to my marketing business, I’ve developed a real-time ever-evolving client (myself) to test the waters on what’s happening in the marketing world.
I’ve dedicated most of this site to helping these pet parents find peace through my mindfulness life coaching. The world doesn’t need another marketing website, but it does need some conscious mindset shifting and uplifting.
And that’s what I’m here for. To help you through your practical real-life journey in a conscious way.
By running my pet project, I can first hand see some of today’s problems as a business owner so I can help you market in the most mindful way possible.
What does a bio of a Master Marketer Life Coach look like?
Throughout my decade-plus career as a marketer, I have been square-pegged, smooshed, mashed, crammed into almost every marketing role hole there is.
I started out as a high school art teacher, forced to get a master’s degree in visual art to keep my job–all while moonlighting as a marketing assistant for a bank. Mama needed to pay back student loans, amirite?!
Fast forward to being “last hired, first fired” during the recession, when budgets couldn’t even cover busses to get kids to school, let alone the art teacher’s salary.
I found myself moving across the country from NYC to Southern California on a hope and a prayer. An unemployment prayer.
I took the first job that came at me, which paid an awesome $35/hour (compared to nada an hour) and started copywriting my little heart out.
And that was the official start of my marketing career.
Fast forward ten years and I have flown all over the world directing photoshoots, lead teams of 100+ employees, built algorithms, made speeches, hosted video shows, produced commercials, build web strategies for brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Pantone and OMG you’re not even going to believe me anymore if I keep going.
But out of all those roles I’ve been in, content marketing is the common thread through it all. Throughout all my experience, I’ve learned (and some through the hard way) what works.
No matter what aspect of your business you touch, there is always an undercurrent of a story present, whether you know it or not.
And wouldn’t you want to be in control of that story and use it mindfully and on purpose? Marketing on purpose is what will set you apart from your competition.
Strategy always wins out over the fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants peeps. And that’s why you’re here. Because OMG WTF IS A STRATEGY?!
You cannot have marketing-on-purpose without a strategy. Luckily, I spent those years as a teacher to be able to carefully put together courses, templates and downloads for you in a way it’ll make sense to you, the kick-ass entrepreneur that didn’t know they didn’t know.
Don’t worry mama, I’ll tell you what you didn’t know you needed to know, because when you know better, you do better. And we need every mama/solo/female/lady boss/dog mom-trepreneur out there to be kicking ass and making DOLLA DOLLA DOLLA BILLS Y’ALL!
